Who We Are

42 Digital Consulting Ltd exists because digital transformation in construction and infrastructure is still being done wrong.

Too many organisations invest in tools before they invest in strategy. Too many projects stall because governance is unclear, information is unreliable, or people haven’t been brought on the journey. We built 42DC to fix that – by putting clarity, standards, and human capability at the centre of every engagement.

We are a specialist digital consultancy working across infrastructure, healthcare, and building construction. We help organisations define what good looks like, build the structures to achieve it, and embed the behaviours that make it last. Our work is grounded in international standards -including ISO 19650, ISO 55000, and the Information Management Initiative (IMI) Framework , and shaped by real-world delivery experience across complex, high-stakes programmes.

The name reflects how we think. 42 is the number that Douglas Adams famously called the answer to life, the universe, and everything — a knowing nod to the idea that the right answer only means something when you understand the question. Digital Consulting is what we do. Together, it signals our intent: to ask better questions, provide substantive answers, and deliver work that actually matters.

We are a lean, specialist practice. That means our clients work directly with experienced practitioners — not account managers — and receive focused, high-quality engagement from day one.

Grant specialises in leading organisations through the adoption of modern digital practices, embedding compliance with international standards, and ensuring teams consistently deliver high‑quality, assured information.

His leadership approach combines strategic clarity with hands‑on technical expertise, enabling clients to confidently transition from traditional workflows to fully compliant, digitally enabled ways of working.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

42 Digital Consulting Ltd is led by Grant Bezuidenhout, a digital construction specialist with over 15 years’ experience delivering BIM, information management, and digital strategy across complex construction and infrastructure programmes. His background spans major healthcare and infrastructure projects, where compliance, structured data, and long-term asset performance are critical, and where clear alignment between digital delivery and operational outcomes is essential.
Grant brings a combined foundation in digital and engineering disciplines. His early studies in web development and multimedia underpin his practical understanding of digital systems and user interaction, while his Civil Engineering degree provides strong engineering insight and applied problem-solving capability. This blend enables him to operate effectively at the intersection of engineering, information management, and digital strategy, supporting organisations in aligning people, processes, and standards such as ISO 19650 to deliver meaningful outcomes.
As Founder and Managing Director of 42 Digital Consulting, Grant leads engagement with asset owners, developers, and delivery teams across the UK, providing the strategic and operational leadership required to improve how information is structured, accessed, and used across the asset lifecycle. His focus is on practical, standards-driven delivery that enhances decision-making, reduces inefficiencies, and supports long-term asset performance.

MANAGING DIRECTOR, CLINICAL & HEALTHCARE PRACTICE

Our Clinical and Healthcare Practice is led by a Managing Director with over 20 years of experience in service transformation, clinical workflow optimisation, and technical systems delivery across NHS and private healthcare environments. Their background spans diagnostic laboratory operations, Lean process design, and change leadership across multidisciplinary clinical teams, with complex programmes delivered at a senior level for some of the UK’s leading healthcare providers.
They also bring direct experience applying BIM and Revit to clinical estates and laboratory spatial planning — a rare combination of clinical domain expertise and built environment capability.
As Managing Director of 42DC’s Clinical and Healthcare Practice, they lead our engagement with NHS Trusts and healthcare clients — providing the strategic and operational leadership needed to align clinical requirements, information management, and digital delivery across complex healthcare programmes.
